What Should You Check Before Renting a Car?

Renting a car with a driver is the easiest way to travel in Pakistan for a wedding, a business trip, an airport pick-up or a family tour. You do not drive, so you do not worry about roads, parking or traffic rules. But a few simple checks before you book will save you money and stress. Here is our easy checklist.

Before You Book: 8 Simple Checks

1. Ask for the full price

Ask for the price per day (or per trip) and ask what it includes. A clear quote tells you if fuel, motorway tolls, parking and out-of-city charges are included or paid separately. At Unique Car Rental we tell you all of this on WhatsApp before you book, with no hidden charges.

2. Ask how many hours are in "one day"

Most city bookings have a fixed number of hours per day. Ask what happens if your event runs late and how extra hours are charged.

3. Confirm the exact car

Ask for the car model, year and colour, for example a white Toyota Corolla or a black Land Cruiser V8. For weddings and guests, ask for real photos of the car. You can see our cars and daily prices on the All Cars page.

4. Get the driver's name and phone number

Before the trip, you should get the driver's name and mobile number. A good driver arrives on time, knows the city roads, and stays polite and patient all day.

5. Check the pick-up and drop-off plan

Share the exact address, time and route. For airport pick-ups, share your flight number so the driver can wait even if the flight is late.

6. Ask about out-of-city trips

If you travel from Lahore to Islamabad, Murree or the northern areas, ask about the driver's food and stay, tolls, and how many days the car is booked for.

7. Keep your ID ready

You only need your CNIC or passport to confirm the booking. You do not need a driving licence, because our own driver drives the car.

8. Check payment and cancellation

Ask how to pay (cash or bank transfer) and what happens if you change or cancel the booking. For weekly, monthly, out-of-city or bulletproof bookings, a refundable security deposit may be needed.

On the Day of the Trip

• Check that the car is clean inside and the AC works well.
• Check that it is the same car you booked.
• Save the driver's number and share your live location if plans change.
• If anything is not right, call or WhatsApp the office right away.
